How to Save Your MessageDisk Password - Part 2
Depending on your combination of operating system and Microsoft updates some additional steps may be required to force Windows to save your password for Outlook.
Symptom:
After initial setup: Knowledge Base Article: [url=http://www.messagedisk.com/index.php/kb/article/how_to_set_up_outlook_2007/]http://www.messagedisk.com/index.php/kb/article/how_to_set_up_outlook_2007/[/url] is completed
And Save password step is completed: Knowledge Base Article: [url=http://www.messagedisk.com/index.php/kb/article/how_to_save_your_messagedisk_password/]http://www.messagedisk.com/index.php/kb/article/how_to_save_your_messagedisk_password/[/url]
Outlook still prompts for your password.
Cause:
Certain combinations of the Windows operating system and securty updates require an additional system setting.
Solution:
Change LSA Compatibility Level to 3
Messagedisk has provided a registry file to change the LSA to 3
1. Download this file: [url=http://www.messagedisk.com/downloads/general/lsa_level3.reg]http://www.messagedisk.com/downloads/general/lsa_level3.reg[/url]
2. Double-click the file and select Yes
